Age range is 7 to 12 years old. Drills and stations in the morning and games in the afternoon. 9 players to 1 coach ratio. Groups are broken down by age and skill level. Coaching staff consists of SBA staff, ex minor leaguers, D-1 ballplayers and local High School coaches and players. Free SBA camp t-shirt with registration. SBA Hot dog barbecue on Thursday. All campers should bring their lunches Monday thru Wednesday.
Curriculum includes: Hitting mechanics, fielding basics, outfield play, throwing and pitching, speed and agility, base running, and much more. Fun competitions with prizes and daily MVP winners announced.
SBA will follow the same popular format as past camps. The kids will be grouped by age and ability (or buddies) and assigned a coach and a team name for the week. We will limit the number of players participating to keep our coach to player ratio low to maximize the young ball players experience.
