Fall Baseball 2013 for individuals

Announcing exciting new changes to improve your fall ball experience!

SBA is entering its fourth Fall Ball season and we continue to make changes to give our clients a better experience.   Last year we had almost 100 players sign up and we fielded 8 teams ranging from 7U to 13U.

Age groups for this year’s Fall Ball

• 7U, 8U, & 9U teams (Little League Division) Note: 9U’s can opt to play up if they want to play Pony Rules Division.
• 10U& 11U teams (Pony Rules Division)
• 12U, 13U, & 14U teams (80’ & 90’ bases)

Our Staff at SBA reviewed last year’s Fall Ball Program and has made the following improvements:

• Each team will be assigned a Professional staff member from SBA. This will be your head coach for the entire fall season.  A local area HS player will be his assistant coach.  The coaches will be responsible to teach the players during the game and will run every practice.  Scores and highlights will be kept but the game will still be instructional with your coach stopping the game on occasion and/or going out on the field to instruct.
• Each team will have a 2 hour practice during the week at SBA ran by your SBA team coaches.
• The 7u-9u division will play one game on Sunday.  The 10u-11U and 12U-14U will play double headers.
• 7U-9U will play little league rules.  10U-11U will play Pony rules.   12u-14u will play on 80’ or 90’ bases depending on the teams.
• This year’s Fall Ball schedule:

 On August 14^th and 21^st 

SBA will run an open practice both days at Marymoor Park field 6, 7, or 8.  Practice will be station based and run by SBA staff members.  We will take this time to evaluate all the kids in the program and put them onto teams based on age, skill level, etc.  Some kids will play up or down depending on the situation to give them the best chance to succeed and have FUN.  This should also balance out the teams so we can have more competitive games. Team rosters will then be posted on our website and Facebook prior to the start of the season.  THESE PRACTICES ARE OPTIONAL AND IN ADDITION TO FALL BALL SINCE THE SEASON WON’T START UNTIL AFTER SCHOOL STARTS! MOST FAMILIES ARE GONE ON VACATION THESE LAST TWO WEEKS, SO ENJOY YOUR LAST BIT OF SUMMER!

Nothing happens the week of August 26^th thru Sep 2^nd (Labor Day)

Fall ball will then start the week of Wednesday September 4^th

Games will be played every Sunday for the next 5 Sundays.  (9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, & 10/6)

SBA has reserved Marymoor Park fields 6, 7, & 8 on each of those Sundays.  (Same fields as last year).

Practice slots will be assigned during the week for each team.  Each team will have a total of (5) (2) hour  practices at SBA during the Fall season starting the week of September 4^th.

• SBA will be talking with  local baseball facilities and select teams to see if they want to enter their teams into our fall ball league.  SBA will control and set all the schedules for games this year.

Summary for Fall Ball registration:

Each player joining our fall ball league as an individual will receive the following:

•  Two practices in August at Marymoor Park ran by the staff at SBA.
• Evaluated and put on a team ran by an SBA instructor as head coach and a local HS ball player as their assistant coach for the entire fall season.
• (5) two hour practices at SBA with their team.
• (5) games for the 7U-9U age group and (10) games for the 10U-14U age group.
• SBA game jersey and hat.  Each team will have their own color.
