SBA FALL BALL HIGHLIGHTS WEEK #1 and #2

Week #1  SBA Wildcats lose a wild one 20-15 to Stods 10U group:  Tyler Tyson hit 2 singles and a couple of RBIs while Grant Wagman added a HR.  Ethan took to the hill and sruck out two.  SBA Cougars took on the Outlaws and lost a tough first game 11-2.  Jackson Subcleff was outstanding behind the plate throwing out two would be stealers!  Grant Hunt was unbelievable at short stop making play after play.  Jon Campbell had a solid outing on the mound and went 1-1 at the plate.  In the second game the SBA Cougars  played the Outlaws to a 5-5 tie!  Jason Hunt, Jackson Subcleff, and Marshall Graham combined to throw a gem holding the hot hitting Outlaws to just 5 runs!  SBA Tigers lose two tough ones 15-14 and 4-3 to Stods premier team the Wolfpack.  The first game saw great pitching by Ben Hagen.  Moose Read had a monster homerun and Michael Hansell and Drew Tenzcar each had two hits including a big 3 run double by Michael.  In the second game, Great pitching by Moose, Drew, and Paxton held the mighty Wolfpack to just 4 runs!  Key hits were by Moose and Michael, both run scoring doubles!

Week 2 action:  SBA Knights had a tough first game losing to the Stods 12U team:  Logan Reeves was 1-1 with 2 RBIs and Payton King played outstanding defense and added a hit,  Frankie Hinkley hit a 2 run double.  Griffin McCauly went 1-1.  Game 2 the Knights won 15-0.  Griffin McCauley threw 3 shut out innings.  Logan Reeves went 3-3 with 2 RBIs.  Nate kennedy went 2-4, and Henry Weibke and Frankie added run scoring doubles.

SBA Spartans took on the older 12u Stods team and held their own before losing 7-4.  Jake Studebaker played great defense including a un-assisted double play.  Justin Sakamota pitched lights out.  Noah Sumrall had two very quality ab’s.  Dylan made some great plays at SS.  SBA Tigers once again squared off with the Wolfpack and lost a tough first game 5-6.  Drew Tenzcar went 2-2 and Eric Moulton battled hard and got on base all 3 times with 3 walks.  Ben Hagen made an amazing diving catch to save a couple of runs.  In game two the SBA Tigers won 6-2 behind great pitching by Moose, Drew, Adam Carper, and Gunner Stier.  Huge rally in the fourth highlighted by Moose’s monster double to right!  Overall great effort by everyone!
